What we actually do

We clean up after death, violence, illness and neglect. That covers crime scenes, unattended deaths, suicides, blood and trauma incidents, infectious disease decontamination, hoarding, sewage and flood damage, mould, asbestos and methamphetamine contamination.

The common thread is that all of it is regulated, all of it requires certification and licensed disposal, and none of it is a job for a cleaning company. Blood and tissue are regulated waste under federal law. So is what we carry away in the van.

Who we work for

Roughly half our work is for families, usually within a day or two of the worst thing that has ever happened to them. The other half is commercial: property managers, landlords, letting agents, care homes, medical practices, schools, transport operators and local authorities.

We are also called by police departments and funeral directors who need somewhere to send people. That is the referral we care most about keeping.

How we behave on a job

  • We arrive in unmarked vehicles and change on site. Nothing on the street announces what has happened.
  • We do not need you present, and we will never ask you to look at anything.
  • We do not discuss a job with anyone who is not on it. Not neighbours, not press, not other clients.
  • We coordinate with police, medical examiners, funeral directors and insurers so that the family does not have to.
  • We verify our work by testing, and we issue a written certificate on completion.

Certification and licensing

Every technician holds OSHA and HAZWOPER training and bloodborne pathogen certification. We are a DEC licensed medical waste hauler, we transport under DOT HM-181, and we use EPA registered hospital grade products. We are licensed, bonded and insured, and we will show you the certificates before we start rather than after you ask.
